The latest design by Tord Boontje (he won numerous awards for the fabulous Garland light) is Icarus- a multi-layered extruded polyester pendant lamp, which I think is reminiscent of the Black Sickle Bill Bird of Paradise as seen on this clip (Garden of Eden) from 60 Mintues.
